Introduction to Software
Introduction to Software is a beginner-friendly class for new users of BERNINA Embroidery Software 9, or for those looking for a refresher on the fundamentals of embroidery digitizing. Students will explore the Embroidery Canvas screen, including toolbars, settings, icons, and the basics of the embroidery toolbox. Through hands-on practice, you’ll create an original design and learn how to edit an existing one, building confidence with the tools and features of your software.
El’s Kitchen BOM
March’s El’s Kitchen BOM session continues this sampler quilt series with two new blocks from Quilts from El’s Kitchen. Students will build on previously learned techniques while sewing in class and gaining confidence with more advanced block construction.
Bloom BOM

Machine Quilting with Rulers
Machine Quilting with Rulers is a hands-on class designed to help quilters build confidence using straight and curved rulers on a real quilt block. Students will bring a simple pre-sewn block and practice ruler work directly on seams and ditches, learning why quilting on a pieced surface matters. Topics include essential supplies, straight-edge ruler work for in-the-ditch quilting, curved rulers for creative designs, and a demonstration of faux-piped binding to finish your project beautifully.
Cuddle Up Wrap
March’s Cuddle Up Wrap session offers a cozy, creative sewing day focused on fabric choice and finishing details. Learn tips for handling plush fabrics while making a custom wrap that’s both stylish and incredibly comfortable.
Cutwork Tool Beginner
This March session of CutWork Tool Beginner focuses on building confidence with BERNINA Embroidery Software 9 and the CutWork Tool. With guided instruction, students will edit designs on their laptops, send files to their embroidery machines, and complete a CutWork project step by step.
Embroidery Project
This all-day Embroidery Project class is designed for stitchers who want to go beyond Embroidery Club and build deeper confidence with machine embroidery. The class will focus on stabilizers, more extensive embroidery techniques, and working through a larger project from start to finish. For this first session, the selected project is a spring table runner with a tile-scene look (Design Pack 13000). Students should bring all required supplies, including their design pack, and are encouraged to come with ideas or skills they’d like to improve.

This late-March Bloom BOM session is a great option for anyone who prefers a flexible schedule while working through this embroidered appliqué quilt series. You’ll complete two floral quilt blocks with guided instruction, making it easy to stay on pace or jump into the series mid-stream.
Serger Presser Feet
Serger Presser Feet is a hands-on class for anyone who owns a BERNINA serger and wants to explore its creative potential. Learn how to use specialty presser feet for embellished stitches, inserting nylon zippers, adding cording, and more. This class focuses on practical techniques you can immediately apply to future sewing projects.
Serger/Sew Bloom & Grow Quilt BOM
March’s Bloom and Grow Quilt BOM session focuses on refining serging techniques while advancing quilt construction. This flexible class welcomes both serger users and traditional sewists, allowing participants to work at their own pace while growing their skills.
Brother Scan-n-Cut Project
Brother Scan-N-Cut Project is a beginner-friendly class designed for owners of Brother Scan-N-Cut die cutting machines who want to feel more confident using their equipment. In this class, students will complete a simple fan-themed project that focuses on cutting and assembly without fusible materials. You’ll learn how to better utilize your Scan-N-Cut and gain hands-on experience that will prepare you for future projects, including applique in upcoming classes.

Spring Fling is a 3-day sewing, serger, quilting, and embroidery event featuring Famous Educators, vendor shopping, daily prizes, and a chance to win a BERNINA 590E sewing machine.
Quilt-As-You-Go Civil War Style
Have quilt blocks waiting to be quilted and assembled? This Quilt-As-You-Go Civil War Style class is designed to help you turn those unfinished blocks into a completed quilt. Learn the history behind this traditional technique, follow step-by-step instructions, and see real examples of Civil War–style QAYG quilts brought together beautifully.
Vintage Mini Dresdens
Join the Kackling Kousins for a fun, skill-building quilting day as you create a Vintage Mini Dresdens quilt. This class focuses on machine appliqué, traditional piecing, and adding a decorative ruffle, all while creating a charming small quilt with vintage-inspired flair.
Cutwork Tool Advanced
CutWork Tool Advanced is designed for experienced users ready to expand their skills with the BERNINA CutWork Tool and BERNINA Embroidery Software 9. In this hands-on class, students will access and edit CutWork designs on their laptops, send files to their embroidery machines, and refine techniques that push creative possibilities further. This class focuses on confident workflow and advanced application of CutWork methods.
Building Blocks of Software 9
Building Blocks of Software 9 is an every-other-month program designed to help participants build confidence and skills using BERNINA Embroidery Software 9. Beginning in February, each lesson is supported through the BERNINA Skill Hub, where students will have access to lesson materials, videos, and additional resources. Printed handouts will still be provided in class, giving students both in-person instruction and digital learning support.
Hoover’s Embroidery Machine Class
Join Hoover’s for a fun, hands-on embroidery class featuring exclusive BERNINA machine designs. Bring a sweatshirt to embroider or fabric to create a pocket for a bag, along with your USB stick and thread. February’s Bloom and Grow Quilt BOM session builds on previous techniques while introducing new serging skills to expand your confidence. Bring your Bloom and Grow fabric kit or select your own fabrics to continue assembling this quilt using either a serger or sewing machine.
Serge or Sew Kaleidoscope Quilt (Day 2 of 2)

Serge or Sew 1-Class Quilt
This one-day quilting class walks beginners through creating a complete quilt top using either a serger or sewing machine. With flannel fabrics and step-by-step instruction, students of all ages can successfully complete this project in a single session.

Create a seasonal keepsake banner or table topper in this monthly Banner Class. February’s class focuses on learning the techniques needed to complete a beautifully finished banner using a pre-cut kit available at Hoover’s. A great introduction for anyone new to CutWork techniques.
Serge or Sew 1-Class Quilt
Create a simple quilt top in just one class using either a serger or a sewing machine. This beginner-friendly project is perfect for new sewists of any age and uses three flannel fabrics to build confidence while learning foundational skills.
Edge to Edge Quilting
Discover a new way to quilt “in the hoop” using machine embroidery with Edge to Edge Quilting by Amelie Scott. Instruction includes step-by-step threading, stitching basics, decorative threads, rolled hems, and inserting a nylon zipper. A great hands-on project for anyone new to using a serger.
Laura Jacket
Have you ever wished you could wear your quilt? In this Laura Jacket class, you’ll create a cozy, quilted jacket using the Laura Jacket pattern, with instructor-led modifications for fit and construction. Students may piece the jacket using fat quarters or incorporate their own quilt blocks or orphan blocks, assembling the jacket in manageable sections. Most participants should plan for this to be a two-day class, with the second session scheduled during the first class.
