This is something I learned to do years ago. It is based on the quilt Grandmother’s Flower Garden. You can do a lot of different shapes to make many blocks. There are many books that you can get but to get started we will use the shapes in the picture. For this one I just used scrap fabrics I had from a previous project. This is something I always have ready to take with me when I am on a plane or in a car or sitting and waiting anywhere. I like to keep my hands busy so I grab and go.
