Glorious Summer is a Smith Street Design quilt that uses machine applique when making the quilt blocks rather than piecing. Blocks are finished in the hoop for a professional, finished look. The center of the design is a good place to use your new giant hoop or a jumbo hoop. Don’t have a machine that takes that big of a hoop? That’s ok. Smith Street Designs has you covered because the big designs are also broken up for rehooping. Although the design cover doesn’t do it justice, this is a beautiful quilt to learn machine applique quilts.
